If not in a Union you won’t need “Road Crew Attire”
Written in the stimulus bill is clause that all money spent on state projects such as road repairs and other construction “must be union wages”. I do not see how they can get away with this considering many states such as Texas and Florida are “Right to Work States’. Unions cannot force or make a major push with any type of intimidation in these states. They are not suppose to even be able to picket but they do and they scare clients with just their presence.
To all of those who are pounding their chests saying Unions are needed to make a fair living need to do your homework. When Unions were formed was a different time. Minimum wages were not in place and people were working for practically nothing. Back then it was needed but we have out grown them. It’s is really a type of discrimination which is suppose to be against the law. Now we have a Department of Labor which you can take your grievances. Not that you will get a quick or even positive result because they are part of the corrupt government. I’d still rather deal with them then a Union.
It’s no secret that the Unions always have and always will be connected to the mob. Remember Jimmy Hoffa, where is he? Anyone seen him lately? Unions are breaking this country, sending jobs across the border and overseas. Whats amazing is they don’t care!
Obama is paying back a campaign promise which will keep many Americans out of work. Union dues are not cheap. Getting into one is not easy, they are a close net group. So basically if you’re not in one you can’t even work on a road crew.
As far as the Card Check goes how can that be put in place through the Federal Government and force it on a “Right to Work State”. There are many that are and the Federal Government cannot force them to allow the Unions to attack our companies especially without a secret vote. If that happens the wars will began because the American people have had enough!
According to the stimulus bill unless you are a member of a Union you will not need one of these. But if you are Walmart can set you right up with all your road crew needs.

A vital part of your road crew attire.
Walmart on board with Obama’s new job creation.
While walking through Walmart I realized they may be in this stimulus plan. They have everything you need to work on a road crew. Obama is promising us millions of new jobs as road crew workers to rebuild our interstate infrastructure. So all the finance workers from Wall Street and other working professionals that have lost thier jobs and only have buisness suits in their closet, Walmart has what you will need and it is affordable since you are unemployed and few dollars to spend.
Thanks you Walmart I know your trying to help and make a huge buck while your doing it!

A vital part of your road crew attire.
Good-bye 2008 here’s what I thought of the year in films, people and economy, if anyone cares?!
I am a movie nut so of course I went with major anticipation to be left thrilled by many and so disappointed by few…
The BEST of 2008 in my opinion not in any particular order:
- 21
- Appaloosa
- Eagle Eye
- Step Brothers
- Street Kings
- The Bank Job
- Body of Lies
- Bolt
- The Dark Knight
- The Day the Earth Stood Still
- Death Race
- Wanted
- Get Smart
- The House Bunny (Yes, it had some good moments, made me laugh)
- Iron Man
- The Rocker (Dumb but funny if you like stupid funny like I do)
- Miracle at Saint Anna
- Madagascar 2
The really bad ones, in my opinion:
- The Happening (So awful, OMG!)
- 88 Minutes (I was so disappointed)
- Burn After Reading (Why was that even made)
- Forgetting Sarah Marshall ( No scenes from the trailer, it was just so bad)
- The Mummy 3 (Ag! and I loved the first 2)
- Rambo 4 (2 & 3 were bad why was there a 4?)
- X-Files 2 The Movie ( I am a huge X-Files fan how could they insult us with that awful film)
Movies were the only thing that seemed to be bearable this past year as the economy fell apart. Gas prices crippled us as oil companies cashed in at all of our expense. Now it’s dropped and they are freaking out! Give me a break they made so much money off this past summer they can buy private Islands. Just proves that big oil and large corporations enjoy watching the public suffer and have to chose between food or gas to go to work to make a dollar. I give you a big kick in the ass for 2008! Big oil you nearly destroyed our economy! If you get your way you will!
Who else gets a kick in the ass from me for 2008:
- Bernard Madoff (Ripping off charities, God will deal with you!)
- Governor Rod Blagojevich (Is that a wig, and it’s time to go)
- Nancy Pelosi (Are you awake? It’s time for you to step down you’re just dumb!)
- Neil Cavuto of Fox Business News (Shut up, let your guest speak and your jokes aren’t funny! I did like your dynasty family sucks monologue, but that’s it!)
- Jessica Simpson (Your day has come and gone, who cares if you have a boyfriend, your lucky someone puts up with you!)
- Lindsey Lohan (You should be blackballed from Hollywood you spoiled whacked out brat!)
- Elisabeth Hasselbeck of The View (Just shut up, your just annoying!)
- Mark Cuban (You know I would not leave him off the idiot list! I am so glad we see so little of him these days!)
Borderlines, very close to getting a kick in the ass for 2008:
- Sarah Palin ( I once had respect for this woman but she’s so full of herself now, today when I got a email to buy my “Sarah Palin Calendar” I almost upchucked! Tone it down if you really want a chance in 2012) I ask how many future President have had calenders out prior to running, huh?
- Carolyn Kennedy (You are not Senator material, you are a women of class and highly respected don’t blow it getting in over your head!)
- Al Gore (Your trying to take credit for solving Global Warming and well, we haven’t yet, back off a little…)
- Brad Pitt & Angeline Jolie (Can we go through one day without hearing what saints you are.)
- Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes (Your drama is boring! Who cares if Katie has a new hair cut!)
I have to say I was impressed by a few this year:
- Laura Bush (She carried herself like Jackie Kennedy Onassis, I can only Hope Michelle Obama will follow her lead)
- Warren Buffet (He’s just a smart business man and a good person)
- Hilary Clinton (I am surprised she made my impressed list but in the end she is good for women and the future of women in politics)
- Michael Phelps (All I can say is WOW!!! You are a great athlete and hold yourself with grace and dignity. Congrats Michael! You worked hard and earned it the old fashion way!)
- Tiger Woods (Always a class act!)
Stupid decisions:
- Bail Out Bill aka TARP (LOL)
- Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Act (LOL)
- Automaker Bail Out (LOL)
Well that’s my wrap up of my thoughts on 2008. I bet I come back and add to it. These are just my thoughts but I know I left many things off both good and bad.
Happy New Year! May 2009 be better for all, it can’t get any worse then 2008, we can only go up from here!
I watched some of the Automaker Hearings before Congress today…
Once again, stumped so that’s all I have to say, I guess…or maybe could we ask the banks to pay back the “party money” we gave them so we can actually try to save some jobs and the auto industry? How did we get here??? Who’s minding the ship??? Are we on the Titanic??? I just don’t know…But I do know I want Neil Cavuto to shut the heck up!
Target claims to be matching Walmarts or lowering prices below the big competition, are they?
Target made a claim that they are matching with Walmart or even going as far as price lower then the giant. I found that interesting so I set out today to see if it was true. I went to a Walmart and a Target that are on the same street back to back. So these prices may be in that area and not the same anywhere else. I plan to check others but here’s the results of today’s adventure:
Walmart: Vicks NyQuil 10oz or 12 Caplets Box $5.27
Target: Vicks NyQuil 10oz Bottle or 12 Caplets Box $5.29
Walmart: My Little Pony Friends (Name seemed different at Target but same thing) $5.64
Targets: My Little Pony Fav Friends (same thing) $5.64
Walmarts: Hannah Montana Jammin Electric Guitar with Doll, each store I went to seemed to have different selections, the names and items not the same or had the same additions like the doll.
Walmarts Price: $20.00
Targets: Hannah Montana Electric Guitar without Doll. Didn’t have the combo.
Targets Price: $19.99
Walmarts: Elmo Live $59.88
Targets: Elmo Live $59.99
Walmarts: Fabreeze Air Effects 9.7 oz Bottle $2.50
Targets: Fabreeze 9.7 ox Bottle $2.54
Walmarts: Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil 64 oz (2 Qt) $5.94
Targets: Crisco 64 oz (2Qt) Pure Vegetable Oil $5.94
Walmarts: Special K 14 oz Box $2.88
Targets Special K 14 Oz Box $2.89
I also found that the Target I went to did carry an 8 inch portable DVD Players but did carry Audiovox 6.2 inch and a brand I was not familiar with NEXTPLAY 7 inch portable DVD Players for $99.99 to Walmarts 8 inch DVD Players made by Philips and RCA for $89.99. The 8 inch seemed like a better deal but it depends on what you want I guess.
The price differences were not that significant only by a dime or quarter here and there but Walmart seemed to be lower if there was a price difference. So are they doing what they say, well, they have matched some and a few cents higher on stuff so yes for Target is trying to di what they claimed. I did notice Walmart was packed and Target was empty. These two stores sit back to back. I may venture out to see how they compete when they aren’t so close. One thing I wanted to mention in both stores I overheard people saying they had been to Target to check their price in Walmart and vice versa while in Target while in the TOY isles. It maybe because they are right next to each other. I will be listening to that when the stores are a trip and not a hop…
One thing I noticed about Walmart they had the Salvation Army ringing it’s bell and people greeting you at the door. It’s a friendly atmosphere. Target is more of a cold atmosphere, they no longer allow The Salvation Army to ring the bell because they say that their customers don’t like to be distracted and you’ll never be greeted at the door, you’re lucky to get a shopping cart at times. I feel if they are going for the kind of customer that the Salvation Army Bell Ringers bother then they are on the wrong track. People spend more when they feel a warmth and giving feeling and I have always found that bell to be that, reminding the reason for the season is to give and be with loved ones, help one another. If they want people that are annoyed by the warmth of helping another they have a rude awakening. Just one of my opinions.
OMG the Automaker Unions…and the dudes in Canada…
That’s really all I have to say, is my title. If the Unions want a job they are gonna have to bend. Hope they realize that as well as the Canadian automaker unions who I heard blasting on one of the news networks saying they make less then Germany and Europe. We’ll see…
